Julie Hamner is a native of Houma, Louisiana, and a graduate of Nicholls State University, where she received her B.A. in English with honors. She went on to earn her J.D. from Louisiana State University. While in law school she was the recipient of the Chancellor’s and Westbrook Memorial Scholarships. Following law school, she spent ten years with the Nashville office of a large firm, where she gained extensive experience in state, federal, and appellate courts, successfully representing clients throughout all stages of civil and commercial litigation matters. These matters include defending manufacturers in product liability actions and representing companies and individuals in breach of contract, intellectual property, and business disputes, as well as in the administration of intellectual property catalogs and decedent estates. Later, as a solo practitioner, she had the continued opportunity to represent clients in estate administration and in the litigation of commercial, transactional, and real property disputes.
Julie joined Kaman & Cusimano in 2024 to apply her broad experience to provide legal services to community associations including in the areas of assessment recovery, restrictions enforcement, litigation defense, and amendment and interpretation of governing documents.
